Please get in touch with your requirements for a personalized quote.
Repairs
This is what we do best. Whether it’s a simple button or fader replacement, diagnosing the root cause of a no power issue, or a complete strip down and clean due to a drink spillage (including ultrasonic cleaning when necessary). We have seen and fixed it all. We stock the most common original pioneer parts and can perform most repairs the same day, sometimes, within the hour (dependent on current workload).
A few of the common faults we fix include:
No power, no audio output, only audio out of the one speaker, broken or loose knobs or faders, not reading discs, error codes on main display, quantize button flashing red light, LED no long working, broken or loose (intermittent connection) power cable, USB or Ethernet jack, jog wheel sticking or no longer springs back up.
Repairs that require a diagnosis will need to be inspected before we can provide a quote. There is no bench fee (£20) to pay should you decide to go ahead with a repair, if it is not an economical fix (cost of repair is getting towards the value of the equipment), or on the very rare occasion that it is beyond saving.
We specialise in DJ equipment, but did you know we also repair amplifiers, keyboards, TV’s and other electronics?
Feel free to call in without an appointment if you are passing by, but be aware, we may be out on a delivery / collection, so it’s best to contact us first, especially if you are travelling far. Perhaps you are local, but unable to bring your equipment to our workshop? We can collect and deliver for free within a 2 mile journey from the workshop, and at a small cost to cover expenses when further afield (We are able to collect and deliver to addresses within a one hour drive of our workshop at a cost of 50p per mile each way). Perhaps you are at the other end of the country. No problem, we also take mail in repairs. However, please do not send anything to us before contacting us first. We will issue a ticket number which you should include inside the parcel containing your equipment to enable us to identify which customer each item belongs to.
The process:
-
Fill in the form below (or call by the workshop with your equipment if you are local – we will issue a ticket).
-
We will get back to you with a rough estimate for the repair if it requires diagnosing or a quote for replacements / servicing / modifications and a ticket number.
-
If you are happy to proceed. Pack up your equipment in a stiff box with plenty of bubble wrap to protect it in transit. Don’t leave any gaps in the box as it may move around inside the box if the courier turns the box upside down during transit. If you still have the original box with the polystyrene inserts – use this. Don’t forget to include a note with your ticket number on it as this is your unique repair ticket number that allows us to match the parcel we receive to the customer that sent it. It can also be used should you want any repair status updates from us. Also include any power adaptors or leads you use with it (these may be the cause of certain faults) and send it to our workshop via a courier of your choice (ensure adequate insurance is included to cover the value of the equipment should you wish to do so - for example, £750 cover is included with royal mail special delivery for £16.55). It’s up to you which courier service you wish to use and the level of protection (insurance cover should it be lost or damaged in transit – we are not liable for lost or damaged in transit equipment). Make sure you use a tracked service (royal mail or parcel force are our recommended courier service). If you have opted for collection, we will collect it.
-
If you are mailing it in to us, please send the parcel to: Bare-Tech, The Gatehouse, Southgate, White Lund Industrial Estate, Morecambe, Lancashire, LA3 3PB. Do not send it to Balltec – this is another company nearby.
-
Keep hold of the receipt so you can track the progress of the parcel to us. Please also inform us, (1) when you send it, along with (2) the courier service used and (3) the tracking number so we know when to expect it.
-
Once we receive your equipment, we will inspect it for any faults we find as well as those you tell us about. We are then able to give you a fixed price for the work required – You can decide which of the faults you want repaired and we can alter the price should you only want certain faults fixed. Once you are happy with our price, we will carry out the work necessary to repair it. We stock many common genuine Pioneer parts, so we are able to repair most faults within 1-2 days. Should we require additional parts not in stock, we will order them from our suppliers the same day to ensure a speedy repair. We will provide updates via email to let you know the progress at each stage.
-
You can check the progress at any time via WhatsApp, text, email or by calling us.
-
When the equipment has been fixed, we will contact you to ask for payment. This will be the agreed fixed price plus the return postage based on the courier you choose and the level of protection required. Once we receive payment, we will post your equipment back to you and provide the tracking number so you know when to expect it. If you are local it can be collected by you or delivered by us.
